The Oakland Symphony Orchestra will present its final concert of the season at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4 at Detroit’s Orchestra Hall.

Join the Oakland Symphony Orchestra for its final concert of the season at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4 at Detroit’s Orchestra Hall.

The orchestra will perform The Rite of Spring (Le Sacre du printemps) by Igor Stravinsky. They will be joined by the Oakland University Symphony Chorus for Requiem by Gabriel Fauré.

The concert features Gregory Cunningham, conductor; Michael A. Mitchell, conductor; Melissa Maloney, soprano; and Constantine Novotny, baritone.

“We love giving our students the opportunity to perform great music in one of the world’s great concert halls,” said Mitchell, professor of music and director of choral activities at OU. “Detroit’s Orchestra Hall is a world-class hall with great acoustics and beautiful architecture. For OU students, this is a lifetime memory.”

Orchestra Hall is located in the Max M. Fisher Music Center at 3711 Woodward Avenue in Detroit.
