A new report by college ranking website GradReports.com shows that recent graduates of Oakland University public health master’s program and its related bachelor’s program earn among the highest median salaries in the nation compared to other recent graduates in those fields.

Graduates of OU’s Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences program who are one year out of college reported a median salary of $47,000, which ranked second behind Illinois State University and ahead of Johns Hopkins University on the list of best bachelor’s programs related to public health.

Additionally, OU’s Master of Public Health graduates one year out of college reported a median salary of $58,300 – good for 24th on the list of best graduate programs in public health.

“These rankings not only reflect the career-entry success of our recent graduates, they also reflect our commitment to providing students with exceptional value for their education,” said Kevin Ball, dean of OU’s School of Health Sciences. “The School of Health Sciences is dedicated to delivering high-quality experiential education that is relevant and transferable to the job market.”

According to GradReports.com, the rankings are the first to be based on median early-career salary data of over 5 million graduates from the U.S. Department of Education's resource, College Scorecard.
