SBA’s ACHIEVE program shortlisted for the 2023 QS Reimagine Education Awards

The Oakland University School of Business Administration’s ACHIEVE Program has earned a spot on the shortlist for the 2023 QS Reimagine Education Awards’ Nurturing Employability Award. This accolade recognizes the program's exceptional contributions to equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary for personal and professional success.

The QS Reimagine Education Awards & Conference is a globally recognized platform that celebrates innovative approaches and initiatives in education. Each year, it brings together educational experts, institutions, and thought leaders to showcase and reward the most transformative projects and ideas in the field of higher education.

ACHIEVE is a co-curricular program aimed at empowering and inspiring students, offering them the tools and guidance necessary to excel in their chosen fields and make a meaningful impact in their careers. All SBA undergraduates must complete ACHIEVE, a three-course series that teaches students core competencies including DEI, communication, networking, professionalism, critical thinking and ethical decision making.

According to Interim ACHIEVE Program Manager Troy Nelson, "This shortlisting is a testament to the dedication and innovation of our team, as well as the lasting impact the ACHIEVE Program has on our students."

The 2023 edition of the QS Reimagine Education Awards was exceptionally competitive, with over 1,200 submissions across 17 awards categories. After rigorous evaluations by more than 600 international experts, the ACHIEVE Program secured its place on the awards' shortlist.

Subsequent rounds of judging will determine the winners of the Regional, Category and Overall Awards. These awards will be officially announced during the live conference scheduled for December 11-13, 2023, at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi.

School of Business Administration Dean Dr. Chuck Pierce concluded, “ACHIEVE’s recognition serves as a promising sign of the innovative path we are paving for our students in Oakland University’s business school.”
