Fernando E Diaz, MD, PhD, FACS, JD, graduated from the Universidad national Autonoma de Mexico and completed training in neurosurgery at the University of Minnesota. He received a PhD from the University of Minnesota in Neurophysiology and a JD from Wayne State University. He has authored more than 275 papers in the peer-reviewed medical literature and has contributed more than 125 chapters to medical textbooks.
Dr. Diaz is recognized world wide for his treatment of brain aneurysms and vascular disease of the head and neck. He is one of only several neurosurgeons in Michigan skilled in radiosurgery using the advanced technology Gammaknife for the treatment of tumors and other abnormalities. Dr. Diaz was recently listed among the best surgeons in the United States. He is a frequent speaker to audiences around the world on advanced neurosurgical procedures and treatments.
