Update: Due to inclement weather, all outdoor Welcome Week events are cancelled for Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Oakland University will welcome new and returning students with a variety of on-campus and virtual events during Welcome Week from September 2-12.
The events will provide students with numerous ways to connect with their peers and get involved in student organizations with academic, social and service oriented missions. All on-campus events will comply with governmental and university public health regulations, including the wearing of face coverings, maintaining at least six feet social distance and practicing good hygiene through hand-washing or hand-sanitizing.
“Welcome Week will still have the fun and spirit-filled activities it always has, but in innovative ways,” said Jean Ann Miller, senior director of the Office for Student Involvement. “It’s really important for students to take these opportunities, both in person and virtually, to get involved and connect with the campus community.”
Miller recommends registering on GrizzOrgs to be in touch with what's happening on campus and to join student organizations.
