Student Financial Services announces the distribution of financial aid offers to new students for the 2024-25 school year

Oakland University Student Financial Services has started the process of notifying students of 2024-25 financial aid offers. New students who are able to be packaged will receive an email to check their MySail accounts for their offers.

After financial aid is offered, students will have several tasks to complete in order to confirm and receive the aid, including accepting or rejecting the offer(s). Students should also get their financial aid and billing accounts ready for their first semester at OU. Detailed instructions can be found in the financial aid next steps section of the Student Financial Services website.

“It’s important to follow through with all of these items to ensure your aid is processed in a timely manner,” said Nicole Boelk, Director of Financial Aid & Scholarships. “If students have questions about their offers, please either attend one of our virtual Financial Aid Offer Evaluation Workshops or contact our office at 248-370-2550.”  

Returning student offers will be sent in May. All students should continue to monitor their Oakland University email and MySail accounts regularly for important financial aid communications.
