International Travel

University faculty and staff are advised to review Administrative Policies 1200 and 1220, which stipulate that all faculty, staff and students traveling outside the U.S. for university purposes
who are traveling outside of the United States on behalf of the university (i.e., study abroad, are required to register for the international health insurance.

Travelers must sign up through Cultural Insurance Services International (CISI) for the insurance, which is provided free of charge by the university. Campus community members traveling for personal reasons are not eligible to receive this coverage.

Risk Management also strongly recommends that all foreign travelers register with the Department of State for theno-cost Smart Traveler Enrollment Program.

Visit the Risk Management website to register dates of travel, review plan information, print the participant guide and, if necessary, review the consulate letter to obtain a visa. Faculty and staff with questions should contact Risk Management for more information.
