It is with deep sadness that I inform you of the death of Professor Emeritus Paul Tipler who passed away on October 26, 2022. On August 15, 1962 Dr. Tipler joined the Oakland University community in the Department of Physics and served in this capacity until his retirement on August 14, 1983.
No funeral or service information is available for Professor Tipler. The university community extends heartfelt condolences to the Tipler family and friends during this very difficult time.
