Eighty percent of OU non-URM (underrepresented minority) students who were new freshmen in Fall 2022 returned to continue their studies in Fall 2023. Meanwhile, 62 percent of URM students who were new students in Fall 2022 returned to continue their studies in Fall 2023.
The Fall 2023 retention rate for URM students represents a 5% increase compared to the previous year and a 7% increase from 2020.
