Faculty, staff and students interested in learning how to help others struggling with mental health problems or experiencing mental health crises are invited to attend one of three mental health first aid training workshops available this fall.

The eight-hour, in-person and online workshops enable participants to identify, understand and respond to signs of addictions and mental illness. Two hours of online, self-paced study precede six hours of in-person learning.

In-person sessions will take place at the Rec Center on the following dates:

  • Friday, October 1, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Friday, November 5, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Friday, December 3, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Registration is required to attend. For more information or to register, contact Becky Lewis at [email protected].
