Applications for Women and Philanthropy grants are now being accepted with a due date of March 14, 2021. To be considered for a grant, applicants must support projects and programs that align with at least one of the four strategic priorities of the university:

  • Student Success
  • Research and Discovery
  • Community Engagement
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Grants are not restricted to women or women's initiatives. They will be made in varying amounts from $5,000 to $10,000. Applicants must be Oakland University faculty, staff or University-registered student organizations and funding may be allocated only for projects or programs that directly support the Oakland University community.

Priority will be given to projects/programs that:

  1. Support OU students
  2. Have broad impact
  3. Can be completed within 2021
  4. Can be accomplished within the current pandemic environment.

Funds will be granted only to OU accounts. Those interested in pursuing available funding should complete the 2021 Oakland University Women and Philanthropy Grant Application

The Women and Philanthropy Grant Committee will review and evaluate all applications, and the general membership will vote to determine grant recipients.

Women and Philanthropy was established in 2018 to provide gifts to Oakland University projects and programs by pooling its members' resources and making monetary awards in the form of grants.
