OU to launch new master’s degree program in finance
Business students

The Oakland University School of Business Administration will offer its new Master of Science in Finance degree program beginning in the winter 2024 semester.    

This new program is designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the dynamic and fast-paced world of finance. It will cover a range of topics, including investments, corporate finance, risk management and credit analysis. Students will have the opportunity to learn from experienced faculty members and gain practical experience through classroom work and hands-on learning opportunities.

"The Master of Science in Finance program at Oakland University is designed to meet the evolving demands of the finance industry,” said Dr. Ranadeb Chaudhuri, the program’s faculty director. “We have meticulously crafted a curriculum that combines rigorous academics with practical experience, ensuring that our graduates are well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities that await them."

Dr. Chuck Pierce, dean of the School of Business Administration, added: “We are eagerly anticipating the launch of this program, a significant step in our commitment to building the local talent pipeline in southeast Michigan. Our esteemed faculty members are distinguished experts and wholeheartedly committed to nurturing our students' success. We firmly believe that this program will constitute a valuable addition to our academic offerings and will be instrumental in preparing our students for successful careers in finance.”
