Biography
Jennifer Coon has been teaching at Oakland since 2005. She is a Special Lecturer in both the Department of Writing and Rhetoric and the B.A. in Liberal Studies Program. Her research and work focus on international reading/writing practices, cultural ethnographies, affective learning, building relationships with online learners, faculty collaboration, and service writing with the elderly. She is part of the founding steering committee of TEDxOaklandUniversity which brings together community leaders, innovators, business front-runners and students to explore life-changing themes. She works to foster community growth through pro-social behavior at OU with her student organization Mission:Kindness.
