There’s never been a better time to transfer to Oakland University. Keep pursuing your degree at a safe, affordable university that’s right in your backyard.

At Oakland University, we make the transfer process easy. Our resources ensure your hard earned credits will transfer and apply to your degree. So no matter where you're going, or where you came from, OU is where your perseverance pays off — and you move one step closer to graduation.

Explore our new resources and opportunities, just for transfer students:

  • No credit limit — we do not limit the number of transfer credits from community colleges. Make sure to review our transfer guides to see how major requirements may be met.

  • Transfer scholarships — OU offers generous, year-round scholarships and merit awards to help you afford your education, including transfer scholarships that begin this summer.

  • MiTransfer Pathways — as a partner in the MiTransfer Pathways initiative, we have identified courses, including those in biology, communication and psychology, that students may take at the community college during their first and second years, which will transfer smoothly to the corresponding bachelor degree program at OU.

  • Transfer Equivalency Tool — use our online Transfer Equivalency Tool for an immediate, unofficial assessment of your transfer credits.

  • Transfer articulations — we’ve improved our transfer articulations, enabling you to save time and money with already-earned college credits.
