Readmission
Our office welcomes the opportunity to meet with students who left and are re-applying to Oakland University, whether they were academically dismissed or have simply been away from the university.
Why? Because we get the chance to share what’s changed, what’s updated and what’s in the student’s best interest for academic success!
Students must go through readmission when they have been either academically dismissed from the university or may have been absent from OU for two or more years.
Students interested in returning to OU can visit the Undergraduate Admissions website for more information on the readmission process.
- OSS meets with students who were academically dismissed and are now coming back to OU. The meeting is to help provide a smooth transition back!
- Once a student has been successfully readmitted to OU, a staff member from OSS will contact the student to set up a readmit meeting.
Here is what we will discuss in the meeting:
- Review the Readmission Letter
- Discuss campus resources
- Answer any questions the student has about returning
- Share next steps
- Assist with setting up academic advising appointment
Note: OSS meets with students who were academically dismissed and are now coming back to OU. However, we welcome meeting with any student wanting to return to provide a smooth transition back to OU.
It’s important to be in the know about resources!
