The Finish Line Scholarship: The purpose of this award is to assist undergraduate students in the University’s College of Arts and Sciences who have made significant progress toward their degree but are having serious financial constraints preventing them from enrolling in the final course(s) toward degree completion. The application can be found on the scholarship website and by searching using the keyword "Finish."
The Holly and Garry Gilbert Safeguarding the Public Interest Scholarship: The purpose for this award is: Supporting tuition, fees, books and other costs associated with undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences whose body of work exemplifies and is instrumental in safeguarding the public interest through journalistic forms of art, storytelling, and reporting. The application for this scholarship can also be found on the scholarship website and by searching using the keyword "Safeguarding."
Additional scholarships may be available through various academic departments and units on campus. OU offers and renews awards at its sole and absolute discretion; offers and renewals are contingent upon the availability of funds and continuation of the programs. The department recognizes outstanding student achievements in scholarship and leadership with three annual awards, described below. Eligibility Requirements:
- major in Sociology or Anthropology
- Good academic standing with a 3.0 overall GPA
- Junior class standing at the time of application
- Demonstrate financial need

Lauren Kathryn Roche Social Work Endowed Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements:
- Undergraduate students
- Declared social work major
- Preference may be given to students who display commitment to public service

Tom Werth Memorial Scholorship
Eligibility Requirements:
- Candidates must be in major standing for the Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work.
- Candidates must complete an application which will include an essay
- Candidates must highlight their passion for wanting to help others, especially children and how they plan to position this passion in their career goals.
Essay: Please describe how you demonstrate your passions for helping others and how you plan to live a life of service dedicated to bettering the people and community around you. You can also include your path and journey into social work.
