Oakland University will host the 2021 McLaren Brooksie Way Half Marathon, 10K and 5K races on Sunday, September 26. Meadow Brook Amphitheatre will be the start and finish point, with the races beginning at 8 a.m. and ending at noon.
Planning of this year’s races will include appropriate COVID-19 precautions and application of state, county or university orders, if any are in place. Races can be run or walked individually or as part of a team. In addition, a virtual option is available for the Half Marathon, 10K and 5K. The Lil’ Brooksie Kids Race will take place on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 11:30 a.m.
Registration for the Brooksie Way events is now open.
This year marks the 14th running of the Brooksie Way races, which were established in 2008 by former Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson to promote Oakland County and encourage people to become more physically active.
