Oakland University’s paralegal certificate program was recently ranked as the “Best Paralegal Program” in the state of Michigan by Michigan Lawyers Weekly readers.

Oakland University’s paralegal certificate program was recently ranked as the “Best Paralegal Program” in the state of Michigan in the category of Education by Michigan Lawyers Weekly based on the results of its 2021 Reader Rankings Survey.

Michigan Lawyers Weekly conducted the Reader Rankings survey in July and published the results on August 30. To view the complete list of rankings, visit https://milawyersweekly.com.

“As the program director of the paralegal program at Oakland University, I am proud of our instructors and advisory board for all the time and effort they continually invest into the program to achieve the ranking of the best paralegal program in the state by the readers of Michigan Lawyers Weekly,” said Barbara Lister-Tait, director of OU’s paralegal program.

OU’s paralegal program is approved by the American Bar Association (ABA) through the Standing Committee on Legal Assistants. One of the first established in Michigan, OU’s paralegal program has maintained its ABA-approved status since its initial recognition in 1976.

In addition, OU’s paralegal program is a member of the American Association for Paralegal Education and has satisfied all membership requirements as set forth in the Association’s Bylaws and Standing Rules as an Institutional Member of AAfPE.
