Keeper of the Dream Awards Celebration adds virtual option
Anthony Anderson
Anthony Anderson, star and executive producer of ABC’s hit sitcom “black-ish,” will keynote OU's 30th annual Keeper of the Dream Scholarship Awards Celebration.

In light of the recent rise in coronavirus cases, organizers of Oakland University’s 30th annual Keeper of the Dream Awards Celebration have added a livestream option for those who wish to attend the event virtually. The livestream is available on OU’s YouTube page

This year’s celebration will take place from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Monday, January 17, 2022, at the Athletics Center O’rena on OU’s campus. In accordance with university policy, in-person attendees ages 3 and over will be required to wear a face covering.

Additionally, for the safety and security of all attendees, there will be a no-bag policy at the Athletics Center O'rena for both guests and students. Please leave your bag at home or in your vehicle. Diaper bag contents and medications can be brought in a clear ziplock bag.

Emmy and Golden Globe nominated actor Anthony Anderson will keynote the event, which will honor seven student leaders who have contributed to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of promoting interracial understanding and goodwill.

The 30th annual Keeper of the Dream Awards Celebration is sponsored by PNC Bank, Rocket Companies, Oakland University Credit Union, Oakland University Alumni Association, Magna, Flagstar Bank, Autoliv, Willis Towers Watson, Lynne A. McIntosh Memorial Scholarship, Lynne and Lia McIntosh Scholarship, Marshall Family Scholar Foundation, Meritor, Comcast/NBC Universal, Adient, Oakland University Black Alumni Chapter, Comerica Bank, Kathleen Ligocki and Pete Rosenau.
