T.J. Jourian

TJ Jourian

T.J. Jourian is an Assistant Professor of higher education leadership. He is interested in equity and justice issues, including intersectionality, gender, race, and sexuality, student leadership and activism, higher education and student affairs curricula, especially as all these center queer and trans populations of color. As a qualitative scholar-practitioner, he primarily employs transfeminist, interdisciplinary, collaborative, participatory, and critical methodologies. His current research focuses on utilizing trans people and perspectives to build a national research agenda with trans higher education populations.
