Ms. Kennedy earned her MSN and BSN degrees from Oakland University, and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Personnel Administration from the Eli Broad School of Business at Michigan State University. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and currently practices as an FNP in a primary care family practice setting. Ms. Kennedy served as a staff nurse at William Beaumont Children’s Hospital and on the neurology unit at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland. She has been a faculty member in the School of Nursing since 2009 and teaches clinical and didactic courses in the Basic BSN, Accelerated Second Degree BSN, and the Forensic Nursing Masters programs. Ms. Kennedy is an active member of several professional organizations including the Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners, the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, the International Association of Forensic Nurses, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Theta Psi Chapter.
