The southwest half of the P-16 parking lot – located between O'Dowd Hall and Fitzgerald, Anibal and Pryale Houses – will be closed in conjunction with a high temperature hot water line replacement project to take place on the east side of Bear Lake during the summer months.

During this closure, scheduled for April 1 through September 30, the northwest half of the lot will remain open and available for use. Also remaining available will be handicap parking spaces in the P-18 parking lot, located immediately east of O’Dowd Hall.

Campus community members accustomed to walking in the vicinity of this project can rest assured that a safe walking path will be maintained between the northwest half of the P-16 lot and both O'Dowd Hall and the Recreation and Athletic Center. As more university activities and accompanying traffic return to campus, drivers accustomed to using the P-16 lot should plan ahead to use alternative lots.

Also in conjunction with this project, a number of sidewalks located between Bear Lake and Fitzgerald, Anibal and Pryale Houses will be inaccessible as a result of a fenced enclosure around the water line work site. Those on campus during the work period are encouraged to plan in advance to use alternate walking routes.

Those with questions or concerns regarding this project should contact Senior Engineer Ryan Giorio at [email protected]. The patience and cooperation of campus community members is appreciated during major campus infrastructure improvement projects.
