The Healthy Campus theme for March is Active Together!

Being active involves more than physical activity and exercise. Taking part in regular exercise boosts both physical and mental well-being. Socializing with friends has also been known to improve mental health and combat feelings of loneliness.

Whether one combines the two and finds a workout partner who also wants to have a great time and achieve their fitness goals, or chooses to take the time to focus on their social life, mental well-being will benefit.

Numerous opportunities across campus are available to connect with colleagues and friends both in person and virtually. Visit the Healthy Campus website for all the specifics.

Campus community members are also encouraged to follow social media at OURecWell and/or @OURecWell or @Oaklandu for the latest programs, services and resources available.

Spaces are currently available in Mental Health First Aid Training on Friday, March 12. Those interested in participating in this free opportunity can email to [email protected] for more information.
