Campus invited to participate in Santa Parade Nov. 19
Last year's Santa Parade came with a touch of snow to enhance the experience and get participants in the holiday spirit.

More than 400 Oakland University students, faculty, staff alumni and friends are expected to participate in the 41st Annual Macomb County Santa Parade on Saturday, Nov. 19.

This year marks the sixth year of OU’s participation and sponsorship in the event.

The parade, presented by the City of Mount Clemens, features 100-plus participant groups including high school marching bands, service clubs, floats, holiday characters, Mount Clemens “Local Treasure” residents and flags showcasing Macomb County communities.

Oakland University will again be among the largest of the groups proudly marching down Main Street to usher in the beginning of the holiday season.

Oakland's group will meet at the Anton/Frankel Center (20 South Main Street, Mount Clemens) at 9 a.m. for refreshments and check-in and the parade begins at 10 a.m. Visit the sign up page to learn more and register.

The first 300 people to register will receive a free Grizz hoodie. Bring a non-perishable food item to support the Macomb Food Program to receive an extra gift!

Oakland University is making an impact in Macomb County by providing higher education options, nurturing the college-going culture, supporting economic development, and engaging with alumni and in the community.

As Macomb County's largest provider of university education in Mount Clemens and Clinton Township, Oakland University is committed to bringing educational resources to its residents and businesses.
