Changchun University in China

Participate in a 6-week English Instruction seminar program and serve as an English conversation partner along with culture sharing in China. The program runs during the Summer of 2018. Exact dates are to be determined.

Students will participate in English Instruction seminars and serve as an English conversation partner for Chinese students at Changchun University of Technology.

What You
Will Do
and learn

Students will participate in English Instruction seminars and serve as an English conversation partner for Chinese students who will study in the United States. Students will participate in seminars on Chinese culture, history, Kung Fu, and Chinese cooking. Share culture with Chinese students. Cultural tours include the great Wall and Forbidden City. No credit is earned for participation in the program.

Pack for warm weather and classroom.

Requirements

Preference is given to but not limited to School of Engineering and Computer Science students. OU faculty and staff can also be considered. A transcript and one paragraph essay describing interest in the program. Financial Support is available for air travel, accommodations, and sightseeing. Students will receive a stipend of $4,000.
