Get Your Student ID

Your student ID (GrizzCard) will help you to gain access to many amenities, including:

  • Recreation Center
  • Access to residence halls (if applicable)
  • Printing services
  • Kresge Library
  • And many more!
Obtain your GrizzCard by visiting the ID Card Office at Oakland Center, Room 112 and showing a picture ID. The office is  open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and extended hours during the first week of fall and winter semesters. Your first GrizzCard is free, replacement cards cost $10.
Mail Official Transcripts From Previous Colleges and Universities

An official copy of your college transcripts must be sent directly to Oakland University to be reviewed and credit awarded.

Mail your transcripts to:

Other Items To Consider

Perform at your maximum potential as an OU student by:

  • Paying all your student charges by the established payment due date in order to avoid having your classes canceled (dropped).
  • Checking your OU email regularly. Watch for information regarding bills, grades and scheduling information
  • Reviewing the academic calendar
  • Viewing the entire Student Code of Conduct before starting at Oakland University
  • Signing up for emergency notifications
  • Searching for student employment using Handshake
  • Submitting an online housing contract, if you haven't done so already, to secure your place in University Housing
