Beth Talbert (M.A., Bowling Green State University) is a special instructor at Oakland University. She teaches Leadership, Persuasion, Gender Communication, Interpersonal Conflict, and Women in Leadership. She is especially interested in the ways women both inhabit and experience leadership. In addition to teaching, Beth serves at the academic adviser for the Communication Program. Most recently, Beth has spearheaded the establishment of the OU Women’s Leadership Institute. As a Trustee of the Rochester Community School’s Board of Education, she has twice served as board president. She is also a member of the Women Officials Network, an organization serving elected women with the Oakland County area. She formerly Beth is an adjunct faculty member for the Michigan Association of School Boards and is a frequent presenter and trainer on campus and in the community.
