You’ve been invited to the Veterans Professional Skills Dinner.

Information for Students
Attend this dinner to meet and network with employer representatives from companies who are interested in hiring veterans! You can also find a job or learn about career-related opportunities as employers will be conducting recruitment tabling immediately following the dinner.

Registration is required and is available here.

Check-in and setup: 3:30 – 4:45 p.m. (doors open at 4:45)
Dinner and Keynote Speaker: 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. (keynote to be announced soon)
Tabling: 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.


Information for Employers
Hire your next intern or full-time employee from a talented pool of student veterans. Meet and network with student veterans during a prime rib dinner, then discover top talent from all majors and disciplines during tabling after your meal.

Tabling: 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Cost:
A $150 donation to SVOU will serve as your registration fee. Cost Includes:
  • Dinner and admittance for you and one other representative from your organization (maximum of 2 attendees)
  • Meal sponsorship for 6 student veterans who expressed interest in your line of work or company
  • Table placard with corporate name
  • Acknowledgement during welcoming remarks
  • Acknowledgement on the event website
  • Company logo in the event program 
  • A booth 8-foot for recruitment networking where you can display your company promotional materials

Other Reminders:

  • Displays are welcome within your 8-foot table space.
  • Electrical outlets will NOT be available to any employer.
  • While we try to accommodate all employers, Wi-Fi access is limited on campus. Please plan accordingly.
  • Balloons are NOT permitted in the Recreation Center.

Parking:
This event is located in the Oakland Center on Oakland University’s main campus.

Parking will not be reserved for this event. Recommended parking lots are Parking Lot 1 (P1), Parking Lot 2 (P2) and Parking Lot 3 (P3).
