Peer-to-Peer Academic Assistance

The School of Business Administration is invested in helping its students succeed in the classroom.

Peer-to-Peer academic assistance is available for many of the required accounting, economics, finance, mathematics, and quantitative methods courses. Assistance with Microsoft Office software is available in the Elliott Hall open lab. Business students in good academic standing will be available in Elliott Hall at various times to assist students.

Jackie Elkins
Jackie is a tutor for resumes, especially as they relate to ACHIEVE courses. She is a sophomore majoring in Management Information Systems with a minor in Finance. Jackie is a member of the Honors College and a part of the Emerging Leaders Program. Jackie loves country music and traveling. In her free time, she enjoys going Up North with friends and family.

Clare Grzegorzewski
Clare is a tutor for ECN 2010 and ECN 2020. She is a senior majoring in Management Information Systems. This past summer she completed an internship with KPMG LLP and will be assuming a full-time position with the firm upon graduation. In her free time she enjoys playing golf and reading. Her favorite singer is John Mayer and her favorite movie is Pulp Fiction.

Cassandra Harms
Cassandra is a tutor for ACC 2000, ACC 2100, ECN 2010, ECN 2020, MTH 1221, and MTH 1222. She is a Junior pursuing a B.S. in Accounting with a Minor in Music. Her hometown is St. Clair, MI. In addition to being a Peer-to-Peer Assistant, she is a member of the Honors College, OASIS, Business Scholars, Business Ambassadors, and Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. Back home, she plays saxophone in the East China Community Band and is a member of the St. Clair Lions Club. She plans to work in a Public Accounting firm upon graduating from Oakland. When she is not in classes or studying, her hobbies include quilting, cooking, and gardening.

Avery R

Avery Ragatzki
Avery is a tutor for ACC 2000, ACC 2100, ECN 2010, ECN 2020, QMM 2400, and QMM 2410. She is a junior planning to major in Finance with a minor in Entrepreneurship. She is a member of the Golden Key honor society, Alpha Lambda Delta honor society and treasurer for Financial Management Association. She lives on campus, plans to graduate in May of 2019 and hopes to open her own bakery in the future.


The School of Business Administration hires students in good academic standing for the school's Teach for the SBA initiative. We seek students to provide assistance with the following courses: ACC 2000, ACC 2100, ACC 3100, ACC 3110, ACC 4010, ECN 2010, ECN 2020 (or 2000), ECN 3030, FIN 3220, MIS 3050, MTH 1221, MTH 1222, QMM 2400, and QMM 2410.

As Help Room Associates, students are required to help for a minimum of 5 hours per week at a rate of $50/5 hours. The hours are flexible but the same schedule must be followed every week.
