Congratulations to the School of Business Administration students inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma international honor society.

At its annual Beta Gamma Sigma induction ceremony March 10, the Oakland University School of Business welcomed 28 business students to the honor society.

An invitation-only honor society, BGS serves as the international honor society for top-performing students of AACSB-accredited business schools.

“BGS members are often referred to as the best in business,” said Meaghan Cole, Ed.D, experiential programs manager. “It is an honor to welcome these top students to the Oakland University BGS Chapter.”

Congratulations to the Oakland University School of Business 2022 BGS inductees.

Oakland’s BGS-hosted events are open to all OU students. However, the earliest a student can join BGS is the second semester of their sophomore year. Invitations to join are sent to business students who meet the criteria set by the national organization.

Once inducted, students become lifetime members of Beta Gamma Sigma, able to take advantage of all the organization offers.

At Oakland University, it means taking part in engagement, professional development, awareness and community service events. The quality and quantity of OU BGS chapter events led to it receiving Highest Honors recognition from the Global BGS organization last year.

Worldwide, there are more than 600 chapters and networking groups to connect with other BGS members. The BGS Alumni Network provides members with professional development opportunities and networking events as well as ways to participate in the community and with local business students.
