Searching PubMed
Acquiring the current available clinical research evidence is one of the fundamental skills for practicing EBM. Clinicians need to enhance their skills in searching PubMed for the best evidence to inform their patient care decisions. This session is designed
for faculty who have mastered basic PubMed search techniques and would like to learn about unique PubMed search capabilities (Limits, Clinical Queries, My NCBI) to retrieve relevant information for patient care and clinical research.

Learning Objectives
- Conduct an appropriate search in PubMed for the best evidence using limits,
combining, and other features as appropriate

- Use PubMed Clinical Queries to conduct a quick search for articles in the specific
clinical study categories of etiology, diagnosis, therapy, and prognosis

- Manage and organize search results with Send to and My NCBI

- Access full-text journal articles in PubMed that are made via PubMed Central and through the OU libraries

This activity is approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™
