Denim Day fundraiser to combat domestic violence
The Oakland University community has the opportunity to participate in an engaging and worthy initiative this week, in support of Haven of Oakland County.
On Friday, April 26, all employees of Oakland County organizations are asked to make a small donation in exchange for wearing denim. All Denim Day funds will go toward sexual assault prevention education in Oakland County.
Haven of Oakland County works to eliminate domestic violence and sexual assault across Oakland County and the surrounding communities through treatment and prevention services by providing direct services to any child, adult or family experiencing domestic violence or sexual assault.
Each Oakland department should name a designee to collect donations of $1 or more. Department designees should deliver collected donations to Nancy Murphy in the Employment Office at 431 Wilson Hall by the end of the day on Monday, April 29.
