Forty student athletes named academic all-conference
OU’s student athletes are winners in the classroom and on the playing field. The Mid-Continent Conference named 40 OU student-athletes to its fall 2003 Academic All-Conference teams.

OU to host NCAA Tournament games in 2006
Oakland University will gain national exposure for its athletics and academic programs when it serves as a host institution for first and second round games of the 2006 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. The NCAA announced that OU will host games to be played at the Palace of Auburn Hills on March 17 and 19, 2006.

The scoreboard
The women’s soccer team capped one of its most successful seasons by tying as the NCAA’s fifth most improved Division I women’s soccer program in the country. The team finished 15-5-1, showing a six-game improvement over 2002.
