I
was 1 of 9 teachers in Michigan awarded
the
MCOATT certificate.
During the Fall of 2000 I became part of a grant program at Oakland University. The PT3 grant class was entitled "Consultation: Technology Applications in Education." I served as a computer consultant to a fourth grade teacher in Rochester Community Schools. This grant program was the springboard for teaching with technology during my student teaching experience at Conant Elementary in Bloomfield Hills. This portfolio is my submission for the the MCOATT- Michigan Certificate for Outstanding Achievement in Teaching with Technology.

As part
of my student teaching experience in Bloomfield Hills, I designed and integrated
this website into the curriculum.

PHILOSOPHY
OF EDUCATION:
My love of learning
has been a life-long adventure. I intend to share this passion and
help instill this attitude in my students. Education should be fun
and engaging with real life applications while meeting state expectations.
Each child should be given every opportunity to be successful in his or
her educational career. I will help students be successful by teaching
the way children learn best. I plan to take an active and hands-on
approach educating the children entrusted to me. My classroom will
be cheerful, exciting, creative, compassionate, challenging, supportive,
organized, safe and most of all effective.
