The Friday evening banquet
will be held at Meadow Brook Hall
on the campus of Oakland University. From the MBH website:
"Meadow
Brook Hall is often described as an American castle. It is the former residence
of Oakland University founders Matilda Dodge Wilson, widow of automobile
pioneer John Dodge, and her second husband, lumber broker Alfred G.
Wilson."

The Dinner will be served in
the Christopher Wren
Dinning Room at 7:00 pm.
Guests can meet in the Great Hall between
6:00 and 7:00 for light refreshments.
Free tours of Meadow Brook Hall will be available before the dinner, and
are very interesting. The tour
lasts about 45 minutes, so you had best plan to be at the Great Hall at 6:00 if
you plan to take the tour.
On the menu is: Chicken
Champagne with Michigan Theme Salad, bread, scones, coffee and tea. For desert is a white chocolate mousse
tort.
Paul Callaghan will present a
brief after dinner talk from about 8:00 to 8:30, in the Christopher Wren
Dinning Room.
You can find directions of
how to get to Meadow Brook Hall (MBH) from the Oakland Center (OC) at http://www2.oakland.edu/map. MBH is about half a mile from the OC.
The deadline for reserving a
spot at the banquet was September 24.
