Rachel Smydra teaches WRT 382, uses blogs as self-narrative expression, engages her students in service learning and collaboration, and has interests in grammar, plagiarism, and ethics in writing.

Teaching Philosophy
Realizing that everyone learns differently, my teaching philosophy involves the goal of creating a community of learners to allow for these differences. Once created, the community of learners more readily engage and foster discussion that lends itself to creating and expanding meaning.

She has been teaching at OU since 1992.
