Biography

Dr. Greg Giberson, associate professor of rhetoric, received a B.A. in English from Alma College in 1996 and an M.A. in English at the University of Akron in 1998. He earned a Ph.D. in English from the University of South Florida in 2004.

He has presented at dozens of regional and national conference on topics ranging from preparing future faculty in Rhetoric and Composition, to the history of the discipline, to the development of undergraduate writing majors. He has published multiple articles and scholarly book reviews and has published two books: The Knowledge Economy Academic and the Commodification of Higher Education and What We Are Becoming: Developments in Undergraduate Writing Majors.

He also coordinates the undergraduate major in writing and rhetoric and is Chief Adviser to Writing majors.
