Teaching Philosophy
I try to let my students define the classroom space as much as possible both in terms of guiding our discussions and identifying the topics, natures, and forms of their projects. I am highly influenced by educators like Paulo Freire, John Taylor Gatto, and John Dewey.

In my classes students will create blogs, shoot and edit digital video, share and discuss original photographs on moodle forums, and do ehtnographic research on online communities. I have students to explore programs like iMovie, Garage Band, Windows Movie Maker and Adobe Photoshop Elements during the course of the semester.

Teaching at OU since 2008.
