Undergraduate Julianne Boyle awarded NIH summer internship
Undergraduate Julianne Boyle was awarded a summer internship with the Laboratory of Clinical Investigation, part of the Intramural Research Program of the National Institute of Aging, one of the National Institutes of Health. Boyle will be working under the mentorship of Dr. Richard Spencer, and will collaborate with the group of Ilya Goldberg. Boyle’s research will focus on studying cartilage degradation using magnetic resonance imaging.

Boyle is a junior from Lake Orion, Michigan. She is an Engineering Biology major, and a member of the OU women’s soccer team.

Students interested in applying for a National Institutes of Health internship next year should apply next winter at the website for NIH’s Summer Internship Program in Biomedical Research, which provides an opportunity to spend a summer working at NIH side-by-side with some of the leading biomedical scientists in the world.
