2012 1098-T Tuition Statements
1098-T Tuition Statements are available to view and print electronically. The 1098-T is used to determine eligibility for claiming the Education Tax Credits on Federal Income Tax returns.
Oakland University has contracted with Vangent, Inc., A General Dynamics Company, to provide both the electronic and paper 1098-Ts. 2012 1098-T forms are now available electronically. In order to retrieve a 1098-T electronically, prior to the forms being printed and mailed, students will need to consent to receiving the form electronically instead of a mailed form. If students elect to retrieve their form electronically, they can always go to the Vangent website for additional copies. If students do not retrieve their 1098-T electronically by the time the forms are printed, one will be mailed to them. Paper 1098-Ts will be mailed close to January 31st.
To retrieve a 1098-T electronically, students can go to
tra.vangent.com (Internet Explorer 9 users may need to use “Compatibility View”).
