Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan to appear at OU for Monday rally
Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan will visit Oakland University on Monday, Oct. 8, in conjunction with a campaign rally set for 7 p.m. in the Athletics Center O'rena. The event is free and open to the public, and doors to the O'rena will open at 5 p.m.
The Romney-Ryan campaign has agreed to reserve 300 tickets for students, and those interested can sign up to receive them in the Center for Student Activities office, 49 Oakland Center, starting at 9 a.m. on Monday. Students will need to bring their Grizz card and their Grizz ID number to secure a ticket.
Others interested in attending can pick up tickets at any of the following locations between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m until the event start time on Monday:

A shuttle service to and from the Meadow Brook Music Festival parking lot will be made available to attendees from 4:30-9:45 p.m., as there will be no parking made available near the O'rena. For a map of campus, visit oakland.edu/map.
All attendees will be asked to pass through a security check, and are asked not to bring bags, sharp objects, umbrellas, liquids or signs.
Members of the Oakland University Recreation Center are advised that the center will be closed at 2 p.m. on Monday in connection with campaign rally.
