New OU Lean Diversification Program coming this fall
The Macomb-OU INCubator and OU Pawley Lean Institute have partnered to offer the new Oakland University Lean Diversification Program this fall, supported by a $450,000 grant from the Economic Development Administration (EDA).

Led by industry experts, the OU Lean Diversification Program will provide companies with the techniques necessary to make strategic decisions about diversification and, most importantly, develop employees to be key contributors and analytical thinkers in growth strategies.

The program will focus on Lean culture, the role of leadership, problem solving techniques and process improvement.

Participants will learn how to analyze and resolve problems with a continuous improvement mindset, through earning either a Lean Green Belt or Black Belt certificate.

Earning a Green Belt Certificate will prepare participants to work on targeted concerns within a company’s operations and be able to apply Lean principles to focused areas of the business.

With a Black Belt Certificate, participants will be able to analyze and resolve a wide array of business concerns within the organization and work independently on Lean projects.

Courses start Sept. 26 for the Black Belt Certificate. For more information, visit oakland.edu/diversify.
