Activist Curt Rhodes to speak at OU Sept. 11
Humanitarian activist Curt Rhodes, founder and president of Questscope for Social Development in the Middle East, will speak at Oakland University Thursday, Sept. 11, from noon to 1 p.m. in Lake Superior Room A of the Oakland Center. Rhodes will discuss his initiatives to educate Iraqi children refugees in Jordan, and provide an update on the plight of displaced Iraqis in Jordan and Syria.
Rhodes founded Questscope in 1988 to provide under-served youth in the Middle East the resources needed to rise above social and economic challenges. With the help of individuals, corporate donors and international agencies, Questscope provides support to marginalized populations disadvantaged communities across the Middle East.
