Vince & Joe’s to host benefit for OU Art Gallery

Vince & Joe’s Gourmet Market will host an “Art and Culinary Soirée,” a gourmet and art event to benefit the Oakland University Art Gallery (OUAG), on Thursday, Aug. 23 at 8 p.m. The benefit will be held at Vince & Joe’s Shelby Township location, at 55178 Van Dyke Ave.

The event will feature delicious gourmet food from around the world, prepared by Vince & Joe’s Executive Chef Neil Cusumano; award-winning wines from premier international vineyards, presented for tasting by Sommelier David Neault; and captivating, original artwork by OU faculty and student artists. The artwork will be available for purchase.

In addition to providing a venue for the event, Vince & Joe’s is generously donating all food. Oakland University faculty are donating their artwork to the cause, and a percentage of the sale of student pieces will benefit the OUAG.

The OUAG is a non-profit gallery located on the campus of Oakland University. It offers six cutting-edge exhibitions annually, as well as lectures, catalogues and seminars. All exhibits and talks are open to the public. The gallery also serves as an academic resource to students who aspire to be art educators or professional artists.

Tickets to the Art and Culinary Soirée are $75 per person through Aug. 9, and additional sponsorship opportunities are available. To purchase a ticket, become a sponsor, or for more information on the event, contact Jacky Leow at (248) 370-3005 or jaleow@oakland.edu.
