MBWP Fellows to Present at 2004 NCTE/NWP in Indianapolis
The National Council of Teachers of English has accepted a proposal for a panel discussion session by Clark Iverson (2002), David Calonne (2002), Robert Lamphear (2003), and Kathleen Lawson (2003).  The four will present "Significance for Dummies" at the 2004 NCTE Annual Convention (November 18-23).  The 2004 National Writing Project Annual Meeting is held concurrently with the NCTE Convention (November 18-20) at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Indianapolis.

SIGNIFICANCE FOR DUMMIES
Fostering habits of contemplation and awareness is essential
to us as teachers of writing. The panelists seek to instill
these habits in students in various ways. The students' own
lives, popular culture, high culture, propaganda, and drawing
drive this conversation among colleagues.
