Governor appoints two new trustees
Gov. Jennifer Granholm announced earlier this week the appointment of two new members to the Oakland University Board of Trustees.
Monica E. Emerson of Rochester, executive director of the corporate diversity office for Daimler Chrysler Corporation, was appointed for a term expiring August 11, 2014. She succeeds Rex Schlaybaugh, Jr. whose term has expired.
Ganesh V. Reddy of Okemos, president and CEO of BizTek Innovations, was appointed a term expiring August 11, 2014. He succeeds David Doyle whose term has expired.
These appointments are subject to Section 6 of Article V of the Michigan State Constitution of 1963. They stand confirmed unless disapproved by the Michigan Senate within 60 days. Both appointments take effect in August.
