Show and GO for a great deal around town
Oakland University students, faculty, staff and alumni association members can take advantage of special discounts and incentives by showing the new OU Community GO Discount Card or their OU identification.
The GO Card program combines two previous programs, the Future Alumni Network (FANs) student discount card and the City of Rochester partnership discounts.
“We are grateful to local businesses for extending these generous offers to the Oakland family,” said OU President Gary Russi. “We are fortunate to be surrounded by these thriving communities and the many services and retail outlets they provide.”
More than 40 merchants from Rochester, Rochester Hills, Auburn Hills and Pontiac are participating in the GO Card program, including neighborhood eateries, retail stores and service providers. For a complete list of businesses, visit the GO Card Web site.
GO Cards will be provided to all new students during summer and fall orientation, to returning students during Welcome Week in September and to faculty and staff through a campus-wide mailing. Information will be sent to OU Alumni Association members through an e-mail communication. Cards will be available at the Information Desk in the Oakland Center and through FANs throughout the year.
Sponsors of the OU Community Discount Card include FANs/OUAA, the President’s Office, UHR, OU Printing Services, and Gold Star merchants.
