Master’s in business analytics named prominent program by BI Software Insight
Oakland University’s Master of Science in Information Technology Management business analytics track was recognized by BI Software Insight’s Matt Satell in an article which highlights the rising demand for data scientists and business analysts and identifies the “most prominent big data and analytics degree programs.”

Through the Oakland University program, students can earn an MSITM in Business Analytics in one-year, half online and half on campus, all at in-state tuition rates. OU’s MSITM/Business Analytics program consists of 30 credit hours of advanced courses on top of a co-requisite foundation consisting of six credit hours. Learn more about the program here.
In the BI Software Insights profile, Dr. Mohammad Dadashzadeh, chair, Decision and Information Sciences department in Oakland University’s business school, highlights a unique aspect of the program: “Our efforts for making the required capstone project a curriculum-integrated project promises to be another feature that students are unlikely to find elsewhere. The capstone projects are assigned to teams of two students. We recruit companies that have a business intelligence or analytics project on their workload. They provide requirements and anonymized data. Both data visualization and predictive or prescriptive analytic modeling projects are tackled.”
