How much will my books cost?
The cost of books is dependent on your courses.  The bookstore offers cost saving options such as used copies, digital books that can be downloaded to your computer, and books that can be rented for the semester.  All of these options can save you up to 50% off the price of a new book.  For information on the books needed for your class and the approximate cost, visit the bookstore website, www.oakland.bncollege.com and click the textbook tab.  Enter in the semester, class, and section number for each class.  A list will populate with information on all course-related materials for the class.

Is there an alumni discount on items at the University Bookstore?
As an OU alum, you receive a 10 percent discount on certain items purchased at the University Bookstore. To receive your discount, simply inform them of your alumni status.

When do I buy my text books for each term?
Textbooks are available generally 3-4 weeks before the start of each semester. Purchases can be made at the store or online at our website, www.oakland.bncollege.com. Online orders can be held at the store for pick-up, or shipped with applicable shipping charges.  Forms of payment accepted online are credit card, debit card, Paypal, Spirit Cash, and Barnes & Noble Gift Card.

Where is the university bookstore located?
The Barnes & Noble at Oakland University bookstore is located in the Oakland Center building, on the north end of the lower level.
