Your first six months

How Are We Doing?

At approximately your 90-day anniversary you will receive an opportunity to give the Human Resources team feedback on your on boarding process. You will receive an email with a link to a survey. The survey is brief but very important us. We want to know if, upon your arrival, you received the information you needed for employment and benefits, if your work station was prepared and that you had the tools to perform your work. The survey is also available to you here.

Probationary Performance Reviews:

OUPSA – Probationary performance reviews are required at 2 months, 4 months and 6 months. The supervisor starts the performance review, submits the review to the employee, and meets with the employee. Once the review is completed, it is submitted to HR.  Quick Reference Guide for Clerical/Technical employees

OUCMT – A probationary performance review is required at 3 months. The supervisor starts the performance review, submits the review to the employee, and meets with the employee. Once the review is completed, it is submitted to HR. Quick Reference Guide for Campus-Maintenance & Trades employees

Administrative Professional (AP) Employees – Depending on the band and/or position, Administrative Professional employees may serve a one year probation period. A probationary evaluation is not completed.

Performance Evaluations – Administrative Professional (AP) Employees:

Performance Evaluations are completed for the evaluation year of April 1 through March 31. During the first months of employment, an AP employee should work with their supervisor to create an evaluation for this review cycle and create goals.  For more detailed information, go to Performance Management Process for Non-Bargained Employee Groups
